Olympus XA Rangefinder 35mm Film Camera with A16 Flash in Original Box with Instructions all in excellent condition.

The Olympus XA is is a legendary and highly sought-after 35mm film camera known for its remarkably compact size and excellent image quality. The XA was introduced in 1979 and is considered one of the smallest full-frame rangefinder cameras ever made.

• Exposure: It utilizes a fully automatic, aperture-priority system. The photographer selects the desired aperture ($f/2.8$ to $f/22$) using a small lever on the front of the camera. Based on this choice and the light measured by its meter, the camera's electronics automatically set the correct shutter speed, ranging from $1/500$s down to a full 10 seconds. This allows the user to control depth of field while the camera handles the rest of the exposure equation. There is also a a $+1.5$ stop backlight compensation lever on the bottom of the camera to prevent underexposure in tricky lighting.

• Focusing: The XA features a true rangefinder focusing system, a rare feature for a camera of its size. When looking through the viewfinder, a small, central "patch" displays a secondary, superimposed image. To focus, the photographer moves a small lever below the lens until the two images in the patch merge into a single, sharp image. The original XA's rangefinder provides more precise focusing than the simpler zone-focusing systems of its later siblings (the XA2 and XA3), making it a favorite for photographers who want fine control over their images.

Overall Condition Excellent (Exc) Body (Exc) Lens (Exc) with new light seals. A16 Flash in Very good condition, it recycles quickly and the ready lamp works. 

Notes: Viewfinder Patch nice and bright and the self timer is working.  Serial Number 5383082 includes the original instructions.
