Designed to feel like a smooth, pocketable pebble, the Olympus mju-1 is a masterclass in analog simplicity. The sliding front cover acts as both a power switch and a protective shield, protecting the legendary 35mm f/3.5 prime lens inside. Whether you’re shooting late-night street scenes, hazy beach days, or daily candid moments, the mju-1 delivers that unmatched, authentic 90s aesthetic with razor-sharp precision.

• The Flash Default: Like most early automatic point-and-shoots, the camera defaults to "Auto Flash" every single time you slide the clamshell cover open. If you prefer shooting in natural light, you will need to get into the habit of pressing the small rubber flash button on the top plate to cycle it to "OFF" when powered on.

• The Focus Lock: The 100-step autofocus system is fast and reliable. Pressing the shutter halfway locks the focus (indicated by a solid green light in the viewfinder), allowing you to recompose your shot before firing the shutter.

• Film Loading: The camera features effortless automatic motor-driven loading and automatic rewind. Simply drop the leader to the orange alignment mark, close the door, and the camera advances to the first frame.
